Spill Berm Options & Use with Frac Tanks
As mentioned above, frac tank containment berms are available in several different styles and options to meet the requirements of your location. Due to the constant mobility of these units, one of commonly used berm options for this type of containment is the Foam Wall Berm.
Built with reliable foam walls, these berms allow frac tanks to roll directly on and off of the containment area. When not in use, foam walls can be rolled up and moved from one site to the next.
- Liners: Reliable XR-5 (or equivalent), PVC or Polyurethane Liner
- Wall: Robust Foam Walls, 4", 6" or 8" in Size
- Additional Options: Track Belts, Compression Pad
Using track belts or compression pads can often help to extend the lifespan of your berm for the duration of its use.
Aluminum Angle Berms
Another popular option for frac tank storage and spill containment is the Aluminum Angle Berm. This frac tank containment berm features the same robust liners, but uses aluminum angle L bracket walls instead of foam. These L bracket angles can be inserted into the walls of the berm to form a wall height of one foot (1 ft.) around your entire frac tank. This can provide a larger containment area for use in the event of a spill.
